Who Are The People In My Hood?

Jessica and KK had a sleepover. They did typical teenager things like make cookies, etc. I have no idea what they were thinking with the "let's brush each other's hair" part of sleepover.
Tay is a beautiful little girl who is always dressed to the "T". She is my mentor in style.
These lovely ladies went to our Trunk or Treat with us and afterward came over for a cup of hot chocolate! YUM!

These random pictures were recently taken and I have no idea what one has to do with another except that they are of people I admire!

Go Cougs!

Dear BYU Football Team,

You must win tomorrow. The daddy of these three little sweet girls will be grumpy if you don't. We can't let that happen again now can we? So, stalwart men and true, FIGHT, FIGHT, WIN!

Good luck,
The Estrogen Gang Leader

Music City Memory Marathon

Jared took the week off and on one day we went to the city and walked around to see some sights. We went on the Shelby Street pedestrian bridge, and walked along the Cumberland River on Riverfront Parkway, saw Fort Nashborough (Nashville's first settlement), LP Field (where the Titans play) and splashed in a few fountains! It was a beautiful 70+ degree day in October and I'm glad we took advantage of it!

The Goods

Here are some of my crafts I was selling at the craft fair (chalkboard clipboards with a bucket for chalk, stitcheries, clothespins, dishwasher magnets, homemade apple pie in a jar, clothespin magnets). I did pretty decent although it's possible I could have done better in a more sound economy. I had a good time nevertheless!

That Girl Is Crafty

I will be selling some of my creations in a craft fair with 29 other craft vendors tomorrow, October 17 from 7:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. in Hermitage in Summitt Hospital's main lobby (ER entrance). Please come by and check it out if you are in the area (Cami Branham's creations are also in my booth)!

Priceless

Dear Scotlyn,

I don't know how you do it, honey. Everytime I see this picture, I laugh. Oh, c'mon, don't you cry that I say that. I'm not laughing AT you. I'm laughing because I feel so much joy knowing you have a unique personality and I treasure the fact that I get to see all the goodness that comes from your giving heart everyday. You like to make others happy. Just know you do especially when we see this snapshot in time--October 2005.

I love you!
Mommy

Nashville Debate 08

Jared got a press kit for the debate tonight at Belmont University here in Nashville. It includes information about the debate on a flash drive, a water bottle, candy that originated in TN, information about the state and election, and a press pass (issued by the secret service) so he can enter the debate venue. Check out the debate info, video and slideshows here.

Sleepover

My girls decided to have a sleepover in Bryn's room last night. Scotlyn somehow got the best end of the stick and slept in Bryn's bed. Coco got the hard hope chest to sleep on, and Bryn slept in her fuzzy, purple chair. These sleep choices say much about their personalities. . .

Craft-O-Rama

Meesh and Frosty came over for a craft day! These are some amazingly talented women! We crafted whilst the children played in the backyard. What a crafty day!

Frosty Fam

I made this stitchery for Jill's birthday in August. I just have to say that I love the Frost's (I'm sure you couldn't tell). They have been so good to us! This week alone they took Bryn to a Nashville Predators game (Nashville's Pro Hockey Team), and the next night took her to Taylor's soccer game and dinner! They are always graciously serving others and always with a smile! They are a great example to me!

P.S. And By the Way

"P.S. and by the way" is a famous quote uttered by Sister Smith. Since it's been at least 3 or 4 weeks since this picture was taken of Sister Smith and her new companion, Sister Nielson, I will use the same adage: P.S. and by the way, Sister Thacker was transferred (boo-hoo!) and Sister Nielson from West Valley City, Utah will be Sister Smith's new comp! I've been told that my blogging is lacking lately so I thought I'd dig around to the bottom of my purse for my camera and download some pictures. There were only few and this is one of them.
